On a Valentine’s Day

Feb 13th, 2010 by Kevin

One of the most celebrated days here in India too, The Valentine’s Day. It indeed is a very unique experience for each one of us, in or out of love. The interesting question is What have you planned Today?
I’m not very eligible to talk like an expert on this topic, but there are some things that I’d like to put down after I watched the movie Valentine’s Day, starring Julia Roberts. Many little stories mixed up and logically linked.

  • Some of my friends reciting the Marriage Proposals. God bless them.
  • Some realizing that they definitely are not going to find anybody to Date, have already planned an outing.
  • Some messaging the coming of this great Valentine’s Day to each contact on their mobile and thus spreading some warmth.
  • Some same gender pairs, out on the streets rebelling to keep their love for each other secret any more.
  • And some angelic pairs destined to get the best out of tomorrow.

Well, i’d be On a Date With Jesus. This is a program presented by the YA (young Adults) at KKP (Krist Kiran Parivar). I’d be here, with my God and experience his love.
ADDRESS: Hadapsar, Opposite Big Bazar, Prakash Bhavan, Next to Vidya Bhavan College of Commerce, Pune. We’re presenting a Drama, together all worshipping the Lord and Snacks to mark the end. The program starts at 6:00 PM, and upto 7:30 PM.
What I hope to receive is, an understanding and appreciation for God’s Love and build a more personal relationship with Him.

Pragyaa 2010 is coming up in the 1st week of March. We (my band) are excited to compose theme songs for the event. We feel privileged to have been a part of this Recording Activity for the past few years. Now that all of us sport the Alumni status, this one activity made sure that we band mates meet at least one each year.

The theme for this year is KNOW DISASTER, NO DISASTER.

Oct 20th, 2009 by Kevin

The KKP (Krist Kiran Pariwar), a covenant community in Pune organized a 3-day camp at Lonavla, that began on FRIDAY (16 Oct. 2009) evening and ended on MONDAY noon(19 Oct. 2009). The main thing that took place was the Visitation by the Sword of the Spirit (SOS) to confirm the completion of Stage-1 of KKP’s formation. And KKP passed the interview. Hurray!!! Now, KKP has moved ahead from being an Affiliate Member of SOS to being an Underway Member - A of SOS.

This is a big reason to celebrate. The whole of the community is very happy.

Twosome

Aug 26th, 2009 by Kevin

Why didn’t you stop me from going
Why didn’t you wipe the tears flowing
I wanted to turn around & hug you
I wanted to show how much I love you
I stepped out when strong winds were blowing
I didn’t even know,
The waters I was rowing

Long I had sailed
When I came across a mirror
That showed me the way
Back to the ones dear
Hurrying back home,
I sat by a fear
And felt you’d have,
Someone else near.
But I made up my mind
No matter what I hear
I’d confess my guilt
Though its too little ,
For your wounds to clear

At the doors of Heaven

Aug 25th, 2009 by Kevin

Once when I was busy collecting pieces of gold, I failed to notice my Shoe lace falling beneath my feet and I tumbled. I fell hard and was hurt. That is when I met an angel who she picked me up. She taught me to smile and enjoy the little things in life. I grew strong and smart and fell in love with her. She graciously accepted me and held me inside her heart. We played and laughed, held hands and walked the streets, splashed water, built sand castles, made rose beds and relaxed in each other’s arms.

One day while my angel was busy making a heaven for me, excited to give me a surprise; I stepped out to play and worried as I was to return before it was late, I came running fast as light and crashed into her heart. Oh! My angel, she was so heart broken but she made sure I was ok and gifted me that heaven.

Now her heart needs to be fixed. She said that she’d be back soon and flew to GOD who would mend her heart. I don’t know when she’d return. But I’ll wait right at the doors of our heaven and enter it with her.

I love you Angel.

Soldier at War

Aug 25th, 2009 by Kevin

Walking all the while
On this battlefield
I say, its not worth
While i’m moving this way
I’ve become a cruel knife
Taking each life
Tearing pieces of cloth
To fill my wounds
And rise, and continue firing

I smell blood, breathe dust
Stamp souls and walk ahead
I’ll live this fight till our war is dead
We shout again, reaching homes
Repeating victory, leaving names on stones
Play with kids, give love a kiss
And explain how much I did miss

First day at the LTS

Jun 13th, 2009 by Kevin

Today was my first day at the Laity Training School (LTS), Batch 17. We’re 14 people attending the LTS out of the 26 registrations they had received. Well, it started exactly at 9:00 AM. There were 4 sessions in all given by Brother Luke Lobo (St. Patrick’s Parish) and Brother Roland. A small Break followed each Session, the Lunch break after the first two sessions and Confession at the end of the fourth session.

Brother Luke, for the Morning session

Plainly dressed he stood with his Guitar in the front. I was even doubtful if he was going to deliver the Session, but then I witnessed an oration that penetrated the mind and touched my heart. I was immensely impressed by simplicity with he explained things. It just reminded me of Jesus preaching with his parables. He gave the most beautiful talk I’ve ever heard about the Gospel Message that says, “God loved the world so much, that he sent his only son and whoever believes in him shall never perish.”.

This message is the foundation of every Christian faith that reminds and inspires one to live as per the Lord’s will. I feel bad about being ignorant to this message for so long, but feel happy about realizing it, though late. He talked about the Love of God and Sin of Man. There’s so much he talked about and kept talking which would be difficult for me to put down here. But I surely could list down the verses he quoted.

John 3:16, John 1:18, 1 John 4:10, 1 John 4:19, Luke 15, Mark 7, Acts 2

Brother Roland, for the next two sessions

Brother Roland is a dynamic and energetic personality. He had come with his wife and daughter. He spoke about Repentance and Belief. His wife testified God’s work in her life. He too quoted the Gospel Message, and said “Believe in the Lord and do his will.”This is the key to receive gifts from the Lord our God. The gift of the Holy Spirit, gift of Peace, gift of Patience, gift of Endurance and all the other necessities of this Worldly life. Where should we Christians head to? “The Eternal Life”

1 John 1:8-9, Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 2:15, Acts 26:18, Romans 6:13, Luke 15:11-24, Psalm 139:23, Acts 5, Proverbs 12:22, Matt 5:27,28, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

The Confession

I wasn’t even sure of making a Confession, but I was advised to do it. Its better to unload as much Burden as possible from your heart. The Lord would take it all and give you peace and forgiveness.

Thank You Lord for choosing me.
Thank You Holy Spirit for guiding me to that place.

Little Dreams

Jun 12th, 2009 by Kevin

Tipp.. Tipp.. Tipp..
After rain, the waters drop
Providing a wet ground
For the footsteps that never stop

In this little wild world
Amidst ignoring eyes
I see two little kids
Being shooed off like flies

One word of compassion
Two morsels so caressing
Could wipe out the tears
These orphans keep dreaming

People have no pity
Still show butter pain
And dusting their touch
Walk along their lane

“Oh! Its time for my leave”
And diminished myself in the crowd
To board the train
Whistling so loud.

Mailing Love

Jun 11th, 2009 by Kevin

Its just those words I know
Not even her name
Never seen her face
Nor talks of her fame

The voyage seems so long
Only two people to sail
And the route being found
Writing down E-mail

Not an evening we shared
Never went for a ride
A kiss stands far behind
True love hiding inside

Where could I go?
How should I find?
Her friends act dumb
Pretending to be kind

I’m not a policeman
I’m not a detective
And the clues in my head
Are getting my brains defective

With whom shall I quarrel?
Who shall I blame?
There’s no one I find
Behind that fake beautiful name.
